Artworx
create & deliver projects that through the medium of art, help increase social cohesion, provide platforms for disadvantaged young people to access the arts, & also reduce isolation. We provide art workshops to disadvantaged young people; those who struggle to connect with or excel within mainstream education; & bring communities of different social & cultural backgrounds together.
Artworx also work with local communities of all ages and walks of life, to increase confidence and self-esteem, breaking down barriers to the visual arts. Artworx run community projects that often involve amalgamating history with art, getting people to experience the transformative and accessible nature that art can have in bringing history and heritage to life. At Artworx we believe that art and history can be also used as a tool to increase social cohesion, by bringing people from different social and cultural backgrounds together.
We partner with other community groups, youth groups, schools and other arts and heritage organisations to design and coordinate meaningful, positive projects and groups which upskill people, and connect them with their local community.
Artworx thrive on working with people of all ages to inspire, improve skills, & increase self-confidence.
